We do upcycle not only vintage kimonos from Japan, but other vintage/used pieces from other part of the world. This time I did upcycle Indian dress into a small purse. It was a dress with very beautiful floral embroidery all over, but many part was damaged. I carefully cut and keep the perfect shape ones, and gave them another life as Kinchaku purse. The purse has one side with embroidery and another side without (pic7). It is 100% cotton, the cord is Edo Uhihimo from Japan, and I added wood beads for the accent. Inside is lined with bright rich fuchsia cotton fabric. It is great for carrying your earphones, charger cords, coin purses, keys, lip sticks, sanitary/toiletry items.. whatever you can think of. :) It is made to order, but a lots of time I have completed ones as well. Please feel free to ask about availability if you need to rush your order. There is another listing for the same Kinchaku purse without embroidery ().
Please Spot cleaning by hand since Embroidery can be fragile. Please be careful that the cords can be discolored by getting wet.
